Introduction to local and global self-publishing and zine-making in relation for photography for second year students, who were preparing for the production of their final portfolio.

A line-up of six influential creatives in Cape Town's self-publishing industry sharing their insights into the subculture as it stands today, as well as their personal experiences and processes.
Art and Publishing
This talk touched on a specific body of work by Caroline Mackintosh and Candice Jezek titled Into the Murmur, detailing their methods around their handmade book and accompanied show. Michael Tymbios gave an overview into his celebrated project, First Thursdays, as well as his personal processes as a creative. Lastly, Nick Mulgrew, associate editor of Prufrock, shared his knowledge on uHlanga Press, his independent publishing house, focused on South African poetry.
